Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp, a Canadian actor and actress, is well-known for her role as the lead in a variety of television shows as well as for her strong performances in movies. The audience for her work is the world of Canadian and American TV. Emily's interest in acting began when, at age 12, she went to visit her sister Katie who was shooting one of Katie's movies. After discovering her enthusiasm in acting she enrolled herself in classes to learn about it and started to audition. Her first audition was for a small amount of advertisements and then was cast in Are You Are You Afraid of The Dark the Canadian horror film for children. The show only featured her in only one scene and without dialog. On the WB television show Glory Days, she received her first break in the industry at the age of 15. Emily's performances caught the attention of Dawson's Creek's Greg Berlanti, who then invited her to his TV show Everwood. Emily is also a dancer, a photographer and was named as among the top 20 Teen's actresses. Maxim placed her at number 51 in its Hot 100 of 2014.
